NUFC sponsors several programs:
CAN-DO Kids Club
“CAN-DO” stands for “Christians Assisting Neighbors, Developing Opportunities.” It is an after school tutoring and enrichment program that includes:
- Homework assistance
- Balanced Literacy Program – that has shown proven academic gains.
- Enrichment classes – sports, gardening, cooking, art, horseriding, dance, karate, etc.
- Music classes – all of our stduents have the opportunity to take music lessons
- CAN-DO Kids Club Gospel Choir
Teen Outreach
A monthly teen night which includes games, crafts, and Bible Study
Moms Night Out
Evenings of fun and encouragement for the moms of this neighborhood, which include dinner, crafts, sharing and prayer.
Neighborhood Leadership Development/Internship Program
We hire recent high-school graduates from the community to work in our CAN-DO Kids Club program, and through mentoring, work to encourage their future education as well as social and spiritual growth.
