At Home In the City

Neighborhood Urban Family Center began as an outreach of Steve and Jenni Wiebe in 1994.  Steve and Jenni moved into an at-risk community in Pasadena, and began CAN-DO Kids Club for Jefferson elementary students at their home.  In 1999, NUFC became incorporated as an official 501c3 non-profit.  Programs continued to expand to youth and families, and in 2003 NUFC established a 2nd home in Pasadena, reaching out to Longfellow students.  In 2006, NUFC brought all of its programs to the CORAL Center.  In 2010, NUFC began an outreach to Field Elementary school at Pasadena Nazarene Church.  In over 17 years of doing afterschool programs, NUFC has served hundreds and hundreds of children, youth, and families.
